joy in the face of
trials
accusations
misunderstandings
failures
Because we know we have peace with God.
Because our standing and righteousness is not based on our own works, but on the finished work of Christ.
Then, our circumstances can't make us gloomy/sad/depressed.
We feel lighter... can breathe easier... the countenance of our face lights up.
Our bodies receive a larger supply of oxygen.
